I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology with emphasis in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria California, and I am registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, licence number 1523.

I have spent a number of years in the practice of medicine which offers numerous opportunities to become familiar with the humanness of our responses to crisis, trauma, loss of control, helplessness, vulnerability and search for meaning, as well as the interplay of the mind and body. These experiences are of course not unique to physical health problems but are found in many other of life’s circumstances.

I believe we all have within us a thrust toward life, health and creativity, but life’s circumstances can create an environment in both our inner and outer worlds that slows or distorts our evolution. I strive to provide an environment of respect, acceptance and confidentiality within which we can begin to understand what has gone awry, and to foster the best environment possible for your own uniqueness to flourish. As the relationship between therapist and client is crucial for this journey I make it a priority to engage myself in an ongoing process of self-discovery and awareness.

Fee: $100/hour. My fee is based on the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors recommended fee schedule. I also attempt to accommodate as far as possible those for whom this fee is not manageable.

If you have insurance for counselling services I recommend that you call your insurance provider to confirm that they will cover the services of a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
